	How Does Your Networking Rate?
	A "yes" or "no" answer to each statement will give you a networking skills rating. At my agency's last social event, I started a conversation with someone I didn't know. I often say "hello" to people I don't know when I'm out and about. I always carry my business cards with me, even on vacation. I initiate follow-up with people I meet. I send holiday mailers to my networking contacts. I belong to a professional organization, and I've volunteered to serve on its committees. I've volunteered to speak at a meeting of my professional association. I've submitted suggestions for improvement within my organization. Scoring: You are networking successfully if you said "yes" to every statement. If you said "no" to some, you're not only missing some excellent networking opportunities, buy you may be missing out on some future clients.
