Dog-Friendly Landscaping
Your yard may be yours, but let's face it — it's your dog's kingdom, too. Here are some dos and don'ts to keep their realm safe.
- DO protect your furry friend from the elements. Add a structure to provide shade or shelter.
- DON'T use toxic chemicals. Instead, look for pet-friendly fertilizers and pesticides.
- DO cater your landscaping to your dog. If your pet likes to dig in dirt or mulch, consider alternatives like river rock or pea gravel.
- DON'T plant flowers or greenery that could be harmful. Choose pet-friendly options like blueberries and strawberries, which are healthy for dogs.
- DO give your dog space. Create an area specifically for your dog, and if you have a garden, consider fencing it off.
